2009 Birchwood Golf Society Day
23rd May saw the second outing, for a contingent of employees of Sabre Systems, joined by customers, manufacturers representatives and guests. If the first outing was marred by the weather, this was a complete contrast, glorious balmy weather was the reward for 41 golfers, the course was in good condition and competitive spirit was prevalent.

The day was once again written around fundraising for the nominated charity the Kent Air Ambulance...
We had charity bunkers and a Swear jar on the first tee! This was handed around again at tea when it was found to be empty, I personally couldn't believe any men associated with the Heating industry wouldn't curse at least once. Duly addressed the jar was returned many £'s heavier.
We conducted a "Guaranteed Prize" raffle for some of the donated goods we had been given, combined with the swear jar and bunker jar we went home with £163.73!
A Separate raffle and sealed bids system, conducted at the Sidcup trade counter also raised some much-needed cash for this worthy charity.
